Bowlng Day

It occurred to me that I had not posted anything about the last time I went to watch Peggy bowl so here goes. The games weren't her best, but she had a good time and I enjoyed watching. While I was here that day I learned how to take a short video with my camera. These first pics show the device on her chair.

I tried several times to get the videos I took to load here on Blogger, but couldn't ever get them to show up so I uploaded them to Snapfish and you can see them here: Click Here

The first video is of Peggy bowling and picking up a spare. The people in red shirts are volunteer helpers from The Villages community. They set the balls on the device as directed by the bowler. Peggy would then steady the ball with her left hand, roll up to the line, stop, and the bowl rolls down and onto the lane.

The second video is of one of the other ladies (can't remember her name) bowling because I had a better shot of her ball leaving the device.

Happy 4th of July!

As was mentioned in our church service this morning, it's a shame so many of us celebrate this day just for the picnics, cookouts, beer, and fireworks rather than celebrating the birth of our nation and honoring all those who have given their time, their love, and their lives to keep us as free and independent as possible. All of us should strive to be good ...

A nation under God
M oving always toward peace
E nriching the lives of others
R aising awareness
I nviting confidence
C aring for others
A nnouncing our faith
N eighbors worth having
S trong and courageous

God Bless America!
