Wedding Update

Hey all. I just wanted to say thank you for your RSVPs. I knew you all would not be able to make it, but wanted to send the invites your way, just the same.

Aunt Ruth- I am sooo sorry that I didn't get a picture of the broken piece of the dragon for UPS. Honestly, the damage was minimal and they did pack it well and probably couldn't have prevented this from happening. And the short of it is, I just haven't picked up my camera in like 3 weeks. Busy and tired.

My brother Rick(or Roderick) as you may know him by, will be attending. He is flying in from Texas. I am so excited about this, because I haven't seen him since 98. I think this will be a great visit for mom too, because she is feeling a bit lonely with family being so far away, so I think this will be good for her. My other brothers are unable to make it, so it's nice to have one there.

October 6 is when we are finalizing a lot of details. We meet with the pastor for our first counseling session, we then meet with the caterer, the baker, and the DJ. And of course, we give away lots of money. I am sure it's all worth it in the end.

Everything is just coming together nicely. I will be going for a final fitting/viewing of my dress in a few weeks. It will be the complete package, shoes, jewelry, dress, etc. It will be a time for me to decide if I want to use the straps for my dress or if I want to use the shoulder wrap that came with it. We will see. I will try to get pictures.

I guess that's it.

Take care and I will write again soon
T.

Prosser Balloon Rally Day 2

The gallery of images from day 2 of the Prosser Balloon Rally can be found here.

The "Night Glow" did not happen last night because the winds were a tiny bit too much for the balloons...WHIMPS!

There is no Day 3 Gallery because we were tired and slept in on Sunday.

Call From Uncle Fred

Uncle Fred called me yesterday. He said he was in Costco and thought about me and figured he'd better call. I asked him if it was the huge packages of food that made him think about me, but he just changed the subject.

Anyway, he said that Linda had finally given into his begging and they'll be heading to Florida early this year. They'll begin their trek around October 7th, heading to Massachusetts first to overnight at a relative's house (sorry, I forgot the name or relationship) and then make a beeline for their place in Florida where they'll hole-up until April when Vermont begins to thaw out a little.

Fred says he's busy busy busy getting their place winterized and ready for them to leave.

He says Aunt Linda is doing well and sends is love to everyone.

Surprise! Surprise!

Thursday Afternoon:

Okay, who's going to pick me up off the floor?! I just had a call from my brother Tillman and he's actually going to stop by here for a couple of hours on his way to Disney World tomorrow! Gotta run now - house needs cleaning!

Friday Afternoon:

It's amazing how little some people change. Tillman looks just the same as I remember him in 1995 (or earlier) when we went to MO. Maybe his hair is grayer and the beard a little shorter. He and Jan and Jan's niece Sierra arrived around 9:15 this morning and stayed until 11:00. Then we took them to lunch at Mya's chinese buffet and they left from there for Orlando. They were meeting other family members (Jan's sister and one of Chuck's boys and Sierra's mother) who were flying in this afternoon It was good to see him again after so long. He seems in good health at 72.

We kept Cody crated most of the time as we didn't know how he would react to the strangers. I let him out just for a few minutes, but when he kept wanting to growl at Sierra I put him back in the crate. Pepper was gracious and loving as usual.

2 more for the clan.....

Okay, so I am a sucker for animals. Especially those in need of a home.

Meet Cookie(left) and PopTart(right).
Cookie, PopTart, and Snickers.
We did not name the new ones. Those are the given names. It's suiting. We now have a snickers, Poptart, Oreo, and Cookie. Fiona just doesn't fit in.

I must stop at 5 or we will run out of room. I just need to live on a farm or have a seperate house for my animals.
