Heeeerrrreeee's OREO!!!!

Fiona meets Oreo
"I kinda look like Psycho bunny with the eyes!"

Getting used to the pad.
Oreo joined us on Tuesday. He is a netherland dwarf bunny. Same breed as Fiona and Bunny. He is approximately 1.5-2yrs. Not sure. And he has to be caged seperately for a couple of weeks because on monday he got snipped. Need to make sure he can't make any more babies. He is a rescue from the humane society. I am sure there will be more pics to follow.

I'm Such a BAD Boy!

Oh boy was I a bad dog yesterday! While Dad was napping yesterday I stole his eyeglasses off the end table and pretty much destroyed them. (Did I mention that those were his brand new glasses he's had less than a month? Did I mention that he had to get those because I broke his old ones?) Then I took the little digital alarm clock off the same table and chewed up one corner of that. This is the clock that tells him when to take his afternoon medicine. I was in big trouble. I got hollered at and Dad didn't want to make up with me all day! Today was a little better though since Mom took the eyeglasses back to Walmart and the very capable lady in the optical dept. worked miracles straightening out the frames, putting on new pads on the arms, and reinstalling the lenses (which by the way I hadn't scratched at all when I popped them out of the frame). And the charge was only $3.64 for the new pads on the arms! Dad felt a little better about it after that. Oh, and the alarm clock still works after a new battery was installed. Oh, but I didn't learn much from the experience. This morning I stole a glass (Mom had had milk during the night) off the same end table, but Mom heard it drop and came right away to take it back. She also saw that I had stolen the alarm clock again - lost the battery cover - but it still works! Now they're going to put this stuffed snake on the end table (one that I'm kind of afraid of) to try to keep me away from it and out of trouble. I wonder how long that trick will work?! Anybody with any better suggestions, please tell Mom quick! - Bad Boy Cody

In Memory of Bunny

Bunny was put to sleep today around 12:45pm. Somehow during the night, he broke both his front legs. If the break was below the elbow, they could splint his legs, but unfortunately the break was near where the leg and body connect. It would have taken an orthepedic surgeon to fix it and it would have been 6-800 dollars. A bit more than we could afford. He led a good life though. He would have been 5yrs old, this November.

Fiona will miss him greatly. We will be finding her a new playmate sometime within the next week or so.

Talk soon
Me.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

Well it's been 5 years already since John and Amy's big day! Inconceivable!

Bad Dog!

I've been meaning to post this for some time now, but kept forgetting. This episode happened several months ago and Cody's behavior has improved a bit since then, but I couldn't help but think this was cute.

The arrow points to the headline "Take a bite out of your dog's bad behavior!"

Look out, he is officially a teenager!!

Well, I was hoping the day would never come, but it did . . . Keven turned 13 today. We had his party here at the house, and check out the cake I made. I found a party book that gave instructions on how to make the numbers (the one was no problem of course). And even though I am normally not good at things like this, I was very pleased with the way the cake turned out. It was a great day and a great party - all the kids had fun!!

My New Annual Event

How many of us remember what happened in August 2007? Hmmmmmmmmmm...well...I broke my leg.

Last night I decided to try with the other foot...but alas I failed to break any bones...I did, however, bruise it up pretty good and yes it hurts.

Eric and I went to the Mariners game last night had tickets to sit in the Hit It Here Cafe. I was trying to move a little closer to the table top portion of the bar we were sitting at and the control box hit it so then the control box moved back but my hand was still there so box back, hand still pushing forward, foot connects with the wall behind the bar.

Here is a picture for your viewing enjoyment...

Here is a picture from later that same day showing progression of the bruising.

Here is a picture showing the bruising moving to the front below the toes...mild but if you look you can see the blueish coloring.

My future hubby!

This is my future Hubby!! He has never worn a tux. In fact this is the first time that I have ever seen him dressed up, outside of khaki's and jeans. The vest is almost an exact match to my dress. Hard to believe that it's right around the corner.
I will try to teach him how to not look so stiff in the thing. I suppose I would be too, if I have never worn anything like that before either!!

It's Been A While

Hey all-
It's been a while since I have been on here. Just wanted to let you know that I am alive. Sometimes it's hard to juggle everything that you need to do and try to sleep in the process. Anyway, things are going good. Work is work. Wedding stuff is coming along. Dave tries on his tux this wednesday. Can't wait. I have never seen him dressed up. I hope to take some pics at the store if they let me. Just went to a friends wedding, and have two more to go to this month. Apparently August is the marriage month. Didn't get that memo.

I need to get a message to Uncle Fred. He called mom a week or two ago, saying that he never knew that she went in for surgery again. Could someone remind him, that he actually called me the day of the surgery and I returned his call when I was in my hotel room, to give him an update on the situation. He may just not remember the call.

Mom is doing ok, but not great. Her new wound appears to be a bit swollen and irritated. Not sure that it's infected, but keeping an eye on it. They hope that the swelling is going down, because another operation, isn't a possibility. But she is still plugging away, doing as the docs tell her to do.

Well, gotta run, I am off to ServSafe class. Bartending certification. Can't wait to sit there for 4 hours. Woohoo!

I will post some pics soon.
