has arrived and I have it now. I picked up my dress this past Saturday and my dad and stepmom were able to be there when I tried it on. It fits great. And probably won't need alterations, which I am excited about. Now the question of the hour is, do I buy shoes from the same store(because they can dye them to match), or do I go elsewhere. It would be $52 for a pair of shoes and there are 3 of us that would need them. We all kind of agree that, that is a lot of money to spend on a pair of shoes that we may only wear once. Decisions, decisions.
Things are really starting to come together. My dad has leads on a photographer for me, so that is great. We are trying to keep it as someone that is a family friend, rather than hire a professional, because Dad will be taking pictures when he isn't in them. And a family friend won't charge as much. Although dad said he is paying for the photog.
Our ceremony and reception are going to be in the same building, which is reserved and we are getting a crazy good deal. And I just found out, that we can have live piano music at the ceremony(assuming the piano is in good condition). Because my maid of honor can't be here for all the planning, she wants to play the music at the ceremony. While this is untraditional, we aren't a traditional couple. She just wouldn't be able to walk down the aisle for the ceremony. I think this is fine. Perhaps we can stage photos later, with her walking down the aisle or something. Either way, it's gonna be exciting.
Now here is a question for you all. And I ask because some of you seem to be advanced in this technilogical age. Where can I get a video recorder for a reasonable price? I don't even know what styles they have now. I assume, most of them are digital or something like that. We were thinking of having the ceremony video taped, but didn't want to pay a videotographer. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
I guess that's it for now.
